Isabella Caputo, Advice for Prospective Students

Why ¾Ã¾ÃË®ÃÛÌÒ?

I chose ¾Ã¾ÃË®ÃÛÌÒ because I didn't feel like a number. I felt as though my education was valued here and that I could succeed. I knew that I would have countless opportunities and that this University would make me a more well-rounded person.

How did you choose your major?

I have always wanted to be a lawyer and have always be interested in how the government system works. Wanting to know the behind-the-scenes of the political system, I knew I wanted to do Political Science.

I have taken Spanish since kindergarten, and I have always loved how I could connect with other people who don't speak the same language as me. I want to be able to help people from different groups and ethnicities in the future as a lawyer, so that is also why I chose Spanish as well.

Key Moment at ¾Ã¾ÃË®ÃÛÌÒ

I really enjoy my Women Gender Studies class and my Social Justice Perspective class. I think that these classes make me more of an aware and knowledgable person. I get to see different perspectives of how people experience the world.

Advice to Prospective Students

I would tell them that ¾Ã¾ÃË®ÃÛÌÒ makes every single person feel important. They make sure people are fully comfortable on campus and allow for growth from every person.

What are your career goals?

I want to go to law school after ¾Ã¾ÃË®ÃÛÌÒ and become a lawyer. As of right now, I am very interested in environmental law, white-collar law, and international law. The goal is to own my own law firm and possibly run for some office.
