Alayna Banks, Key ¾Ã¾ÃË®ÃÛÌÒ Moment

Why ¾Ã¾ÃË®ÃÛÌÒ?

Out of all the universities I looked at, I chose ¾Ã¾ÃË®ÃÛÌÒ because of the beautiful campus and amazing opportunities.

How did you choose your major?

I originally was a Biology major, but I learned more about Speech Pathology and Audiology at orientation and decided that would be the fit for me.

Key Moment at ¾Ã¾ÃË®ÃÛÌÒ

A key academic experience would be my Anatomy class with Professor Donna Scarborough. Not only did she teach me about good study habits, but she also made me more confident as a student. I will always remember her class!

Another ¾Ã¾ÃË®ÃÛÌÒ Moment

This past fall semester, I was a Bridges Ambassador. Not only was it fun, but I also got to talk to the students I was assigned to about ¾Ã¾ÃË®ÃÛÌÒ and how great the university is.

Other ¾Ã¾ÃË®ÃÛÌÒ Experience

Being a feature twirler in the ¾Ã¾ÃË®ÃÛÌÒ Marching Band has definitely given me amazing opportunities, like traveling to Orlando and Arizona. In Arizona, we even got to perform with Snoop Dogg!

Advice to Prospective Students

Choosing ¾Ã¾ÃË®ÃÛÌÒ has been the best thing to happen to me. This place really feels like home, and I would not want it any other way!

What are your career goals?

After I graduate, my goal is to be a speech therapist in a pediatric hospital. I would love to work with kids with speech disorders or disabilities in a medical setting.
