Myaamia students to participate at Smithsonian Folklife Festival in D.C. this July
The ¾Ã¾ÃË®ÃÛÌÒ Tribe of Oklahoma is one of four tribes invited to take part in this year’s festival, which honors contemporary living cultural traditions and celebrates those who practice and sustain them.

Staff from the Myaamia Center (the Tribe’s research and educational development arm based at ¾Ã¾ÃË®ÃÛÌÒ) with expertise in those areas also will be going to D.C. The students will assist them and run some of the programming, said Kara Strass, director of ¾Ã¾ÃË®ÃÛÌÒ Tribe Relations.
