Student Employment

We believe academic education is a priority and strive to develop the full potential of students as an extension of their educational experience. Lifeguard

• General Hours: Mon-Fri 6am-10pm, Sat 8am-8pm, Sun 10am-8pm
• Basic Duties: Provide a safe swimming environment by enforcing rules, policies and responding to emergencies.
• Requirements: Certified in American Red Cross Lifeguard/CPR/AED and First Aid

Rec Center Facility Coordinator

• General Hours: Mon-Fri 6am-10pm, Sat 8am-8pm, Sun, 10am-8pm
• Basic Duties: Responsibilities are to maintain the safety and well-being of all Recreation drop-in and program participants across all Recreation sites.

Outdoor Pursuits, Climbing Wall Route Setter

• General Hours: Fridays 8-11am 10am-1pm, Sundays 6-9pm
• Basic Duties: Set top-rope routes and boulder problems for all skills levels and verify ratings and safety of climbs

Outdoor Pursuits, Team Building

• General Hours: Mainly weekends, some weeknights
• Basic Duties: Facilitate team building programs & challenge courses

• General Hours: Mondays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays 4-7pm
• Basic Duties: Plan and supervise youth climbing practices, trips, and activities for 5-14 year olds
• Requirements: CPR Certification, belay certification, background check

Outdoor Pursuits, Assistant Trip Leader

• General Hours: evenings and weekends (often overnight)
• Basic Duties: coordinate logistics for outdoor trips & lead peers in outdoor activities

Intramural Official

• General Hours: Sunday-Thursday 5-11pm, some weekends
• Basic Duties: officiate games, set-up equipment, track scores

Equestrian Barn Worker

• Requirements: strong work ethic, ability to lift 30-50 lbs regularly

Assistant Makos Swim Coach

• The candidate should be passionately motivated and excited while working collaboratively with the MAKOS staff in building towards continuous growth and advancement of our swimmers.

• The facility manager will provide basic oversight of the Recreation Sports Center with assistance from a team of student and full-time staff.

Personal Trainer

• Personal trainers for ¾Ã¾ÃË®ÃÛÌÒ are hired to assess, design, and supervise exercise programs for Recreational Center patrons. Trainers must have an appropriate understanding of human physiology, anatomy, biomechanics, and kinesiology.
