I am honored and privileged to serve as the Dinesh & Ila Paliwal Dean of the College of Engineering and Computing (CEC).

As future engineers and computer scientists, you will tackle some of the world's most complex problems. I am personally dedicated to building a student body representative of many different backgrounds through active recruitment and retention. My commitment extends to creating a welcoming environment where every student, faculty member, and staff member can contribute and flourish. 

Our faculty are exceptional teacher-scholars who employ innovative and dynamic teaching methods to excite and motivate every student. They are also engaged in world-class research, funded by prestigious federal and state agencies, as well as industry partners. This research is vertically integrated, with undergraduate students working side-by-side with graduate students and faculty. Many of our students have earned prestigious fellowships such as the Goldwater, Fulbright, and Astronaut Scholarships. We also pride ourselves on nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit of our faculty and students by encouraging technology commercialization and collaboration with university-wide initiatives.
