President Crawford thanked Figo for keeping the ¾Ã¾ÃË®ÃÛÌÒ community safe over the past seven years, in a simple ceremony earlier this week. A Belgian Malinois, Figo joined the department as ¾Ã¾ÃË®ÃÛÌÒ's explosive detective canine working with MUPD Officer Keith Hibbard.

President Greg Crawford convened the Safe Return to Campus Planning and Coordinating Committee and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Task Force during 2020 to address two critical issues affecting the health and wellbeing of the ¾Ã¾ÃË®ÃÛÌÒ community—the pandemic and racial unrest in the United States.
