¾Ã¾ÃË®ÃÛÌÒ Regionals' Microcredentials expand reach, expertise with two national partnerships
¾Ã¾ÃË®ÃÛÌÒ Regionals' Microcredentials are now part of two leading national credentialing networks, making its innovative, incremental professional development skill-based credentials more accessible, more versatile, and even more valuable to employers and job-seekers.
Credential As You Go has selected ¾Ã¾ÃË®ÃÛÌÒ Regionals to join the initiative's network of credentialing institutions across the country. This partnership will allow ¾Ã¾ÃË®ÃÛÌÒ Regionals to exchange best practices with other institutions and access Credential As You Go's framework and technology.
¾Ã¾ÃË®ÃÛÌÒ Regionals has also joined the Credential Registry, powered by Credential Engine, a national searchable database of credential programs that helps people find and compare credentials and supports a common language and system for credentialing.
Both agencies aim to improve the ever-growing field of incremental credentials for learners through research and collaboration.
"As workers and employers both search for innovative ways to adapt to a changing employment landscape, the demand for incremental education, both at ¾Ã¾ÃË®ÃÛÌÒ Regionals and nationwide, has led to rapid growth of our Microcredentials," said Ande Durojaiye, vice president and dean of ¾Ã¾ÃË®ÃÛÌÒ's Regionals campuses. "Our partnerships with these major players in the incremental credentialing world will allow ¾Ã¾ÃË®ÃÛÌÒ Regionals to continue to improve the value and accessibility of our Microcredentials and support workforce development in Ohio and beyond."
Students can complete Microcredentials that teach relevant and marketable job skills in as little as one weekend at ¾Ã¾ÃË®ÃÛÌÒ Regionals. Many are offered 100% online, making them accessible to full-time students, working professionals, busy parents, and anyone looking to learn a new skill or advance their career.
