The Research Computing Support (RCS) group works to enhance the ¾Ã¾ÃË®ÃÛÌÒ community by creating a collaborative and engaging learning and research environment for faculty and students. Our goal is to assist with the use of technology so that researchers can concentrate on core research activities.

We can help you with:

• Using High-Performance Computing (HPC) resources
• Writing, debugging, and maintaining software
• Analyzing or visualizing data
• Training on computer hardware and software used in research
• Raising the level of computing technology used in research programs
• Collaborating on grants and research projects

High-Performance Computing

We provide training and consulting on the use of , including best practices for the usage of HPC resources and parallel software development.

Research Consulting

We are interested in talking to people about the use of computing in research. This could include:

• Identifying the proper computational tools
• Discussing algorithms and computational methods
• Analyzing or visualizing data
• Using ¾Ã¾ÃË®ÃÛÌÒ’s high-performance computing cluster
• Training on computational tools and techniques
• Using resources at the Ohio Supercomputer Center
• Support for grant proposals

Programming 

We can help with programming and support for:

• C/C++
• Fortran
• Matlab, Mathematica, and Maple
• SAS and R for statistical use
• Engineering software including Abaqus and Comsol
• Many scripting languages including Linux shell, Python, and Perl
